Internal Revenue Service

How does a Federal Agency such as the IRS extend essential services and information to a broad, geographically dispersed populace in a cost-effective manner, and in a way that enhances the quality, accuracy and consistency of services provided? This question is being asked throughout all government service organizations, and the answer, increasingly, is e-government — the application of information technology to expedite and improve the flow of communications between the government agency and the population it serves.

Since 2001, DynaTouch has been working with the IRS to deploy kiosks around the country, particularly in areas not well served by existing government offices. The kiosks provide a wealth of information and services needed by the American taxpayer — answering frequently asked questions, dispensing current and prior year tax forms and instructions, and polling kiosk users for their opinions and questions about IRS services and policies.
